PREGGERS

Yup, you read that right---the newly named Lisa Heeter is officially pregnant! (or preggers as my girlfriends call it).

We just found out and I am probably only 2-3 weeks along, but we are still super excited! I had been feeling all weird the past couple of weeks and was way late so I decided what the heck, I will just try a pregnancy test.

So, after dinner last night Todd was playing a video game and I took the test, came out of the bathroom and proceeded to say, "Um babe, I just peeed on a stick and I am pregnant."---he then stated "TAKE ANOTHER ONE!" So we went up to Walmart and I took two more and they couldn't have come back quicker with a postive result I swear :)

We hadn't been really trying, but were not trying to prevent things either so we are just so excited and can't wait to see you all again soon!

And as soon as we find out what the sex is, we will for sure spread the news!

Woo hoo---the Johnson clan is getting bigger by the day!

Racing in the Mountains

Marni, Turbo and I are headed to Park City, Utah tonight for the E100 12 Hour endurance mountain bike race. It's a 12 hour solo race with 10 mile long laps and 1313 vertical feet of climbing per lap. As if that wasn't enough I'm racing in the singlespeed catagory which means I have only 1 gear the whole 12 hours. I'm hoping to ride somewhere between 10 and 13 laps (100-130 miles) and I'm lucky enough to have Marni to come along as my crew.

We've been having a lot of fun riding lately and driving the new bike hauler (Element). Marni did a great job at her first race last weekend! A 5.3 mile 2062 vertical foot hill climb up the Winter Park resort ski hill. More pictures of that are on my blog. The attached pictures are of us on a little ride with friends at Red Rocks last night. It was really beautiful. Wish me luck this weekend!

News from Brew City

For anyone who hasn't heard...I got engaged this past Sunday!! My fiancee's name is Ryan Young, he's from Milwaukee and we met at church. We haven't decided on a date for the wedding yet, but details will follow as they come. The picture is from after he proposed on the boat back to Michigan...and no, the matching sweatshirts were definately NOT planned!

Coming from a Land Down Under

G'day everyone! Just thought I'd give a final update on my life in the South Pacific. Everything is still going wonderfully :) My parents came to visit a few weeks ago which was awesome. It was definitely good to see them, and I think they really enjoyed themselves here. My dad kept talking about how they have to come back to see more...1 week just wasn't enough! I'm now officially done with classes and am starting exams tomorrow. The exams are spread over a 2 week period and are all essays worth between 40-60% of my final grade, so I've been doing quite a bit of studying. Classes actually ended last week, so this week was study break. I decided (along with 4 friends) that the optimum place to study would be on a beach in Australia. So, we went :) We went to Cairns, which is in the North East part of Australia. It was absolutely gorgegous! Beautiful weather (I got a great tan haha), palm trees, and, the best part, THE GREAT BARRIER REEF!! I got to snorkel there and it was really cool. So many colorful fish and coral. I cut my knee on a piece of coral and my knee got somewhat puffy, but it was ok. I also got stung by either a baby jelly fish or sea lice in my butt. That hurt, but I survived. All in all, it was a great study break (and , yes, I DID study!) So now, I just have 4 exams, turning 21, an All Blacks Game (rugby), Tahiti, and HOME! I'm so excited to see everyone! I miss you all so much!

A little prayer request, too. My friend, Jackie, who is from New Jersey and goes to Villanova who studied here with me left yesterday to go home due to a medical condition. It's nothing too serious, but if you could pray that everything goes ok with the doctors in the States, that would be much appreciated! Thanks!

Pointing to a sign on the beach in Australia that warns about Crocodiles, stingers, and sharks in the swimming area...don't worry...I still went in :)

Me, Dana, Jackie, Ashley, and I in Palm Cove, Australia (after swimming in the shark/crocs/jellyfish infested waters)

That's what happened to my knee after cutting it on coral...gross, huh?!?!

The 'rents and me up in the Sky Tower when they came to visit me!!

Love and miss you all!
