Some pictures

Well, Thursday is the big day. Caleb will be arriving via a planned c-section. Logan is excited and seems interested in being a big brother. Prayers are especially appreciated for a successful surgery and speedy recovery. As promised here are some pictures of us in the house.

Our first meal, Applebee's takeout.

Logans room went from this....

... to this. (we will eventually get blinds that aren't pink!)

Introducing...

For those of you haven't heard yet, Kristen and David welcomed a beautiful and healthy girl into the world this morning. Here are the stats:

Name: Nyah (blank) Scranton (middle name is yet to be determined)
Date: July 9, 2007
Time: 4:04am
Weight: 6lbs 11.5 oz
Height: 20 in

Both mom and baby are doing great! Kristen was a champ and didn't use an epideral. My mom, David and I were all in the delivery room when Nyah was born...it was amazing! David did much better this time around and didn't faint haha. Levi is doing well, too...He will look at Nyah and say "baby" then point out her eyes and nose. Here are some pictures...enjoy!The Nursery at Kristen and David's house

New Jersey News

The Johnsons are homeowners again! We closed on a house this week and have been moving since Tuesday. I hope to have pictures soon. Our address:
1040 Warren Parkway
Teaneck NJ 07666
201-357-2088 H
201-556-8529 Jeff's Cell

On the pregnancy front, I am feeling great! Caleb Richard is the name we decided on and he will be born via C-section on Aug 2nd (prayers always welcome!). Again, I hope to have some pictures up soon.

Logan turns 3 this weekend and is really excited about his 'own special house' with his new room. Major accomplishments lately have been getting him fully potty trained. He will start school/day care 3 mornings a week in September.

Happy 4th...

from the top of the world!

To celebrate the 4th of July, Chris and I summitted our 3rd fourteener together (mountain over 14,000 ft). Chris did most of the work on a bike, while Turbo and I drove up in a car. We parked our vehicles at the top and summitted the last 100 feet together on foot where we were greeted by a very twilight-zone-ish sing along of America the Beautiful by about 50 tourists at the top. We snapped our pictures and headed down right before the clouds quickly blew over the top of the mountain and took away any sort of view.

I recommend this trip to any Michiganders who come to visit, want to say they've 'bagged a 14er' but don't want to do any of that pesky hiking stuff. Mount Evans is home to the highest paved automobile road in North America. If you are too cool for hiking or riding in a car, you can also ride your bike up it like Chris did -- either for a $3 fee any day you want or $60 in a race at the end of July. Did I mention he also rode to the mountain from our house? That's an optional, more *crazy* route though, and I wouldn't recommend it. I plan to try it next year on my bike, but without the whole 4:30 am departure from our house without a car thing. Ew.

Look! Colorado does have lakes!
Chris riding up the last switchback to the top.
Happy to finally be at the top! At this point, Turbo and I had sat in the car for a while, listened to music, and ate a bunch of Snickerdoodles.
Turbo's first 14er in the books. He liked getting to see snow again at the top and getting admired by all of the tourists.

I hope everyone had a great 4th!
Love,
Marni and Chris (and Turbo)

Just thought I'd post a quick photo from our "girl cousin" outing on Saturday. Tara, Heidi, Missy and I met at Super Suppers to put together some meals for Kristen as a surprise. We had tons of fun and the Scranton's will enjoy lots of yummy meals in the coming days. For more info on Super Suppers, visit http://www.supersuppers.com/
